Pre-Purchase

Our team of experts provides insights into market trends, ownership costs, and potential resale value, guiding you through the entire purchasing process. With our support, you can navigate negotiations, contracts, and due diligence with ease, ensuring your investment is sound and aligns perfectly with your expectations and requirements.

Our technical team collaborates closely with the client to gain a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations, offering a detailed overview of the inspection process. In collaboration with the legal team, we carefully evaluate the technical clauses of the purchase contract to ensure that all aspects are clearly defined and provide full protection for the client. We meticulously plan the visits, establishing clear objectives and evaluation criteria.

Our team conducts a meticulous review of all relevant documentation associated with the yacht. This includes ownership certificates, certificates of conformity, class and registry certificates, navigation licenses, maintenance records, details of any refitting work performed, and on-board inventories. The aim is to ensure that all documents are current and fully compliant with existing regulations, thereby guaranteeing the legality and security of the purchase.

The Floating Life team conducts a comprehensive visual inspection of the yacht, examining all areas, including the wheelhouse, cabins, engine room, and deck. This thorough evaluation allows us to assess the overall condition of the yacht and identify any signs of wear, tear, or damage that may necessitate further investigation.

A complete series of dock trials are performed to test the functionality of all installed systems. These tests include a thorough inspection of the technical spaces, including the engine room, as well as the interior and exterior areas of the yacht. We ensure that all onboard instruments and systems function properly and check that safety systems are in optimal condition, confirming the yacht’s overall reliability.

A complete sea trial, conducted in accordance with the FL protocol, thoroughly evaluates the yacht’s performance. This assessment focuses on key aspects such as maneuverability, stability, speed, and overall comfort during navigation. We carefully observe the yacht’s behavior under various loads and sea conditions, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of its operational capabilities and performance.

Dry Dock Inspection

A thorough inspection of the hull is conducted with the yacht out of the water to allow a detailed examination. Advanced tools are used to measure hull thickness and humidity levels, evaluating structural integrity and identifying potential issues such as corrosion or damage to ensure the yacht’s overall condition and safety.

Paint inspection

The top-coat condition is evaluated to assess the quality and finish of the yacht’s surface. This involves examining the overall appearance and surface integrity to identify any critical areas and the general condition of the exterior paintwork.

Final Report

Our report summarizes test results, detailing the yacht, procedures, and identified defects with photos. It offers a clear overview of the yacht’s condition to support informed decisions and negotiations.
